We are thrilled to share the wonderful news from Kerikeri Retirement Village in New Zealand. Thanks to fundraising through their Gifts for Goldies appeal and a generous grant of from Pub Charity Limited, the village has been able to purchase a Mobii — bringing transformative interactive experiences to their residents.
The OMi Sensory System, designed to support cognitive stimulation, physical activity, and social engagement, is already making a huge difference. Its portability allows it to be used across all three of Kerikeri’s care wings, catering to a wide range of needs including those living with dementia or mobility challenges.
In their own words, the team described the moment residents first interacted with the technology as “bringing staff to tears” — a powerful testament to the connection, joy, and enrichment it is creating.
This beautiful initiative aligns with Kerikeri Retirement Village’s charitable purpose: to treat every resident with dignity, compassion, and respect.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Pub Charity Limited, WS Medical Limited for the training support, and the wider community who helped make this project a reality.
It’s an honour to see our technology helping create more dynamic, stimulating, and meaningful environments for residents around the world.
